  • Surfing the new wave... Sometimes funk sounds, reggae or boogaloo, even surf music, garage and psychedelia, going through the new wave, indie or electronica; this project is a tribute to music in general.

    Granguiñol proposes different sessions according to the moment or the kind of event: relaxed and whispering in certain ambients (Expresarte, Cosmosoirèe, etc), and more groovy in some others (Overtoom 301, Bembe Lounge, etc).

    He was one of the 5 dj-set selected by Universidad Pública de Navarra (UPNA) for Entreclases, a project with didactic vocation that toured different styles and epoques in music. He has djed in Amsterdam, New York and Cluj-Napoca (Transilvania), as well as in several Barcelona venues, specially been the resident dj at Inusual Project, Pamplona and Tenerife.

Alfredito Linares

During the 60's and 70's Peru gave birth to great bands playing boogaloo and latin garage. Linares was a student at the Conservatory, son of a musician that had already created his own band and afterwards inherited

The Smiths

Historical bands have come from Manchester and one of the highlights has been The Smiths, Morrissey's group. 'Bigmouth strikes again' was the release single of their 3rd album, 'The Queen is dead'

Sister Nancy

Also known as Muma Nancy, this Jamaican lady born in Kingston in 1962 was the queen of the dancehall during decades. 'Bam bam' is considered to be one of those reggae anthems by media as the BBC and The Observer

Los Pekenikes

Although they began playing in 1959 it wasn't before 1966 when edited their first LP, 'Los Pekenikes'. Most of the songs were instrumental and among the big amount of musicians that passed by the band we can find, for example, Luis Eduardo Aute

Kaka de Luxe

One of the stars from the so-called Movida Madrileña, a band including Alaska, Enrique Sierra (Radio Futura), Nacho Canut (Parálisis Permanente), Carlos Berlanga (Los Pegamoides, Dinarama) and Fernando Márquez 'El Zurdo' (La Mode, Paraíso)

The Neon Judgement

Altogether with Front 242 they were the pioneers of the EBM music in Belgium and editted almost all their works in the label Play It Again Sam (PIAS). 'The fashion party' is included in their first LP '1981-1984', actually a compilation of their former 12''s.

The Seeds

Created in San Francisco by Sky Saxon they released their first single in 1965, this 'Can't seem to make you mine', that was a hit in California advanced the first LP, 'The Seeds', including 'Pushin' too hard' too

Joe Quartermain and the Free Soul

My uncle gave me the original single, a funk classic from the early 70's performed by Sir Joe Quartermain, or Quarterman, and the Free Soul. A Washington DC based band that reached R&B's Top 30 in 1973 with this song.
